From the garage/family room, the view into the kitchen - it was only as wide as the width of the sink (just under 4 feet) and the ceiling was only 7 feet tall!!! I could touch it without stretching on my flat feet (and I'm not very tall).



So...we decided to try and vault the ceiling, after realizing there were no "bearing" beams...


What a difference....


Starting to come together...

We are currently finishing up the laminate flooring and have added the rest of the upper cabinets to the left of the stove.
