Wednesday Emily went to the Sierra Safari Zoo, just 10 minutes from our house. From the freeway, it looks pretty bad and lame, but once inside (except for run down facilities - they are volunteer and donations run only), you are very up close and personal with the animals. And every animal could be seen and was no further than 3-4 feet from you - amazing!!! I've posted only a few of the animals we saw. It was really fun and this will definitely be a Baird Family hangout.

Brahma bull, as gentle as a
puppy and loves to be petted

Running with the antelope

Merlin, the dromedary camel

Black jaguar

This is a Liger. yes, that's right, a cross between
a lion and a tiger. He's basically a striped lion (and not breedable). Cool!

Cool horns

White Siberian Tiger
Haircut anyone?
